Hi world

Today was the day for submitting the second assessment. I printed a zine draft for Rae to check how can I make it better. It was my first time using the university printer and I was amazed that it was really good quality printing.
For this task, I tried to collect some techniques from the first assessment to this zine draft.

Rae said she like the way I drew some vector in the raster image as she has recommended. I also got feedback from Rae on how to adjust the layout to be more beautiful and the way I set the grid from the margin instead of the rim of the page. She also suggested I reduce texts and work more on creating images. I was reminded that I have to set the size of the font to be the same size for the whole zine because she found that the size of the text wasn’t the same on some pages.

After the draft checking time, somebody went back home immediately and someone still stayed in the classroom. I spent my time reviewing Rae’s feedback a bit before went back home and worked on group work in prototyping task.

In Week 10

I had a bit of fever because the weather was suddenly cold, so I didn’t join the classroom. I may show in the blog what I have done so far on my final zine instead. I tried to scope every technique in the first assessment to my final task such as vector, the rule of the third and changing background.

In this image, I used the rule of the third to caption the photo. Although it didn’t look much perfect, I tried to use the rule of the third in my task. I also drew some vector to decorate the zine though I didn’t have an idea to put it in yet (The vector image below).
